Prevalence and Current Status of Dental Treatment for Amelogenesis Imperfecta and Dentinogenesis Imperfecta using National Health Insurance Database

The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence and incidence evaluate current status dental treatment Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) Dentinogenesis (DI) in South Korea. data based on National Health Insurance Service (NHIS)-National Sample Cohort Database (2002 - 2015) Jeonbuk University (JBNU) Dental Hospital (2011 2020). NHIS analysis showed AI DI were 11.6 2.4 per 100,000 people, respectively. annual for 2013 2015 2.2 0.5 100,000. There no statistically significant differences regarding number visits, reimbursable cost among AI, patients others. In patient JBNU hospital, proportion non-reimbursable 12.1% 87.9%, while accounted 18.6% 81.4%.
